Can you comment on what percentage of patients are fully using the AlignRT workflow.

about 90% at University Hospitals Dorset. it is only electron patient and those in a H&N shell who don't have SGRT. we are imminently going to start using open face H&N shells and eventually may switch over electrons but we hardly treat any of those these days

How does AlignRT tackle center couch during CBCT for DIBH treatments?

it is fine, we just make sure we have restored the couch position before we do the post-cbct reference capture. at the moment sgrt doesn't gate the kV beam

What is the installation time of the system on a clinical Linac and how long does the training takes for the users.

install time and acceptance = approx 1 day per linac
phase 1 training is 2-3 days for key people. standard training they do on-site over a morning then hand hold you through patients in afternoon
physics commissioning = approx 15 hours per linac

Physics: When commissioning SGRT and Workflow, was it complete physics lead or it had pre-treatment and treatment Radiographer involvement?

physics led and sign off. but definitely worth involving radiographers especially for end to end testing and workflow stuff

Do you have "key-user" RTT's?

kind of - the key people are our technique development radiographers and imaging practitioners (specialists). they are not officially named SGRT key users or anything really though but they are known to be experts on it

Have you ever had to implement set up contingency plans for tattooless patients due to AlignRT failure?

no! the up time is remarkable

How long does it take for staff to “unlearn” tattoo-based setup and switch to surface-based setup?

depends on the staff member

i think probably a week or two to get out of the mindset completely on average

Have any centres used AlignRT to go mask free for H&N patients?

we are testing open face masks at the mo, but we have treated a few people with just a vac bag and no mask monitoring with SGRT. i really like the look of the macromedic head "cradle" the blue part that is moulded to the back of the head so we may try that
